About the Role
scanO air is our AI-powered oral health screening device, deployed in 1,000+ dental practices across 6 countries. As a Dental Product Specialist, you own the journey of getting scanO Air into clinics — and ensuring it actually gets used after it lands.
This is a quota-carrying role. Your clinical degree gets you in the room. Your communication, presentation, and sales execution close the deal and hit the number. You will be measured against monthly and quarterly targets from Month 2 onwards.
Monthly Deliverables (Your Operating Cadence)
- Demos: Deliver 10-15 product demonstrations per day — 80% virtual + 20% in-clinic — with ≥40% progressing to the next stage
- Field coverage: 30+ clinic visits per month within your assigned territory (Pune zone or Chennai zone)
- Closures: Sign 3–4 new paying clinics per month, ramping from Month 2 onwards
- Reporting: Submit weekly pipeline reviews and monthly performance reports. Accurate forecasts are non-negotiable.
Quarterly Deliverables (How You're Evaluated)
- Revenue: Hit assigned net-new ARR target (set during onboarding based on territory potential)
- Activation rate: ≥85% of clinics you close must reach active usage — defined as 20+ scans in the first 30 days post-installation
- Events: Represent scanO at 2+ dental conferences, CDE programs, or workshops per quarter, generating 30+ qualified leads per event
- Knowledge contribution: 1+ case study, clinician testimonial, or field insight handed to the marketing team each quarter
Core Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle — qualification, discovery, demo, negotiation, closure, handoff
- Build deep expertise in the scanO ecosystem (scanO Air, Copilot, Engage, Nova). Product certification required within 30 days of joining.
- Deliver crisp, confident product demonstrations that translate AI capabilities into clinical and business outcomes a dentist actually cares about
- Represent scanO at industry events as a credible technical-clinical voice
- Coordinate with product, customer success, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and active usage post-sale
What Success Looks Like
- Day 30: Product-certified, shadowed 50+ demos, started running demos independently
- Day 90: First 3+ closed clinics, running the full sales cycle solo, owning your territory pipeline
- Year 1: Consistent monthly and quarterly target achievement, internally recognised as the scanO expert for your region, on track for Senior Specialist or Regional Manager
Who You Are
Required
- BDS or MDS from a recognised dental institution
- 1–3 years of experience — clinical practice, dental industry, healthtech, or B2B sales
- Excellent communication skills in English plus the regional language for your location (Marathi/Hindi for Pune, Tamil for Chennai)
- Strong product presentation skills — you can hold a room of 5 dentists and walk them through a complex AI product without losing them
- Sales orientation — comfortable carrying a target, comfortable being measured, comfortable hearing "no" and following up anyway
- Tech-comfortable — CRM tools, demo platforms, AI products
- Willing to travel within your assigned region
